Title:  Cost-Effective and High-Quality Geospatial Data Acquisition

Abstract: For over a decade, the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) has managed the Central Oklahoma Alliance of Government Agencies (COAGA) program. COAGA allows participating agencies to acquire digital orthophoto images, change detection, planimetric and topographic data updates, and other related services at a reduced price compared to each agency acquiring their own. The goal is to have a complete up-to-date accurate digital orthoimagery data set for the entire project area as well as updated planimetric and drainage-enforced contour data sets for the specified municipal areas. This presentation will discuss the ACOG COAGA program, how your jurisdiction can participate, and some success stories. For attendees from outside of ACOG, we'll discuss some of the basics of starting a similar program.
